Law enforcement authorities have taken into custody a man who allegedly aimed a stolen car at an officer who then fired at the thief early this morning in Roseville.
Roseville police had been looking for Daniel Rosario, 61, since the incident.
Rosario was wanted on suspicion of attempted assault on an officer with a deadly weapon (a car), residential burglary and auto theft.
Roseville officers responded at about 1 a.m. today to a burglary at a home in the 700 block of Vallejo Avenue. Police suspect that Rosario broke into an apartment there while the resident was home and took a white Volkswagon Beetle.

Rosario allegedly aimed the stolen car at responding officers as he fled the scene. An officer then fired shots at the car, according to a police press release.
The VW was found nearby. He was arrested hours later by Roseville police officers near where he was last seen.
He was taken into custody without incident.
