Rocklin police arrested a man on suspicion of arson last week after a suspected attempt to siphon gasoline from a truck resulted in a fire that damaged two trucks and a nearby building.
Police and firefighters were called at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 7 to the 6400 block of Pacific Street, where a box truck was burning behind a business. The blaze, extinguished by firefighters, caused major damage to two moving trucks and a nearby building. Brandon Lent, 44, of Rocklin, was arrested the next day on suspicion of arson and petty theft.
An arson investigation by the police and fire departments identified Lent as the suspect. Police said officers believe Lent was trying to siphon gas from a truck and that it caused a fire.
