A police spokesman said a fight broke out between Alejandro Bautista, 26, and Xavir Rodriguez, 27, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Alejandro Bautista and Rodriguez, both of Sacramento, were pronounced dead at the scene, and Mario Bautista, also of Sacramento, was arrested.
Sacramento Superior Court online records show Mario Bautista pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in 2008 and was sentenced to seven years in state prison. Now 38 years old, he is at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City.
