Is Floyd Martin going to trial?

Floyd Adam Martin Jr. remains in Sacramento County Jail charged with vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving causing injury in the death of 66-year-old Linda Shaw in a Feb. 13 collision in Land Park.
A preliminary hearing in the case has been continued several times and is scheduled for Nov. 12, according to Sacramento Superior Court online records.

According to stories in The Sacramento Bee, police reported that Martin, 57, was northbound on Riverside Boulevard when he collided with a car driven by Shaw, who was entering the intersection westbound on Swanston Drive. Police alleged that Martin was high on drugs and driving at excessive speeds.
Martin and Shaw’s husband, who was her passenger, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
