Police seek identity of suspect in robbery attempt at Sacramento business

Sacramento police seek the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery at a Franklin Boulevard business.

Officers responded about 1:18 p.m. Tuesday to a report of an attempted robbery. The suspect reportedly entered the business at 3701 Franklin Blvd. and displayed a handgun. After attempts to access the cash register failed, the man left the business and rode off on a white bicycle, according to a Police Department news release. No injuries were reported.

The man was described as having a medium build, wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, a black knit hat and black gloves.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that the suspect may have been involved in other robberies in the area.
