A Placer High School student was arrested Wednesday after Auburn police received a report of a student possibly armed with a firearm.
Officers responded to the school shortly after 2 pm. and detained a 14-year-old boy without incident. The firearm was determined to be an airsoft handgun that did not have the required orange safety tip, according to a Police Department news release. The youth was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon on school grounds and booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.
