A Sacramento County woman faces a prison sentence of 15 years to life after pleading guilty Wednesday to sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.
The trial for Stormy Mollissa Myers, 35, in the disturbing case was approaching in Sacramento Superior Court when Myers pleaded guilty to a single count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 and to performing oral sex on a child younger than 10 at the Wednesday hearing.
The latter charge carries a state prison sentence of 15 years to life. The lewd acts allegation is an eight-year sentence and will be served concurrent to the 15-years-to-life term, according to information in court documents. An additional six counts against Myers will be dismissed.
Sentencing will be Feb. 26 before Judge Sharon A. Lueras.

Myers was being held on eight counts, including providing or transporting a child for a lewd act and knowingly using a minor to assist with obscene matter in connection to acts committed against the child in October 2010.
Prosecutors say Myers and her co-defendant, Jason Samuel Wymer, 44, sexually assaulted the girl and captured images of the acts.
Wymer faces seven counts alleged against the 3-year-old and another girl in 2011, who was 5 at the time. The charges include oral sex with a child 10 years or younger, lewd and lascivious acts with a child and knowingly using a minor to assist with obscene matter.
The case unspooled from a photo of an 8-year-old girl mistakenly sent by text message to Wymer’s phone in 2013 by one of the girl’s relatives. Sacramento County district attorney’s prosecutors say Wymer, who did not know the family, began to text sexually suggestive messages to the sender believing the sender to be the child while asking for more photos.
The contacts sparked an FBI investigation that uncovered what Sacramento County district attorney’s officials in a statement said were “thousands of images and videos of child pornography” taken from 2010 to 2011 in Sacramento and San Joaquin counties. Prosecutors say the photographs included images of a 3-year-old being abused by Myers and Wymer.
As part of the plea agreement, Myers will plead guilty to a federal child sexual exploitation charge, a 20-year sentence to run concurrent with the state sentence. Under the outlined terms, Myers will serve her time in federal prison. If she hasn’t been paroled at the end of her federal sentence, Myers will be transferred to state prison to complete the remainder of her time.
