Dominique Polani, jailed since her arrest on suspicion of a series of Sacramento-area bank holdups in July, will return to court Oct. 30.
Polani, 22, faces five counts of second-degree robbery in Sacramento Superior Court. Sacramento County prosecutors say Polani held up Bank of the West, Citibank and Chase Bank branches in Carmichael, Rosemont and the Arden Arcade area July 1, 9, 14 and 15.
Security camera images from one of the targeted banks show a casually dressed woman believed to be Polani at the teller’s counter in a baseball cap and wearing thick horn-rimmed glasses.
In each of the holdups, Polani allegedly slipped notes to tellers saying she was armed and demanded cash.

Polani’s defense attorney has maintained that she was coerced into the robberies. In July, Marcus Wiggins said his client was “an unwilling participant in this enterprise.”
Polani remains held in lieu of $250,000 bail at Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center in Elk Grove.
