Eastbound I-80 near Donner Lake reopens following big rig crash
The California Highway Patrol reports that eastbound Interstate 80 has reopened to traffic in the Donner Lake area following a three-hour closure due to an overturned big rig.
A photo released by the CHP showed the overturned trailer blocking both lanes of the highway.
Eastbound traffic had been held at Kingvale and rerouted to Highway 40 following the crash, which occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The lanes reopened about 4 p.m.
The National Weather Service reports light rain along the I-80 corridor, resulting in slick roadways.
