A Citrus Heights man held three teens until police could respond after they were allegedly seen by his wife breaking into their neighbor’s vehicle early Wednesday morning.
The woman noticed three people breaking into her neighbor’s vehicle in the 7300 block of Parkvale Way about 2 a.m. Wednesday and called police. While police were en route to the scene, the witness told dispatchers that the auto burglars were walking away.
When officers arrived in the neighborhood, they found the woman’s husband detaining the three teens in the middle of the street near Blackthorn Way and Tupelo Drive.
All three were identified as the auto burglars by the woman, according to a police press release.
The teens, ranging in age between 15 and 17 years old, were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools. One of the suspects had property from the burglarized vehicle, according to police.
