A former American River College student has been arrested for allegedly making a violent threat against the campus.

Kristofer Wayne Clark, 21, of Sacramento was arrested at his workplace on Thursday on suspicion of making threats to commit a crime resulting in death or bodily injury.

Los Rios Community College District police said that a student alerted an ARC staff member that Clark allegedly made a threat against the main campus. The alleged threat came with the intention to carry out the threat on Friday, according to a college press release.

District police then notified the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and officers from both agencies arrested Clark.

No specific person or group of people were mentioned in the alleged threat, according to the press release.

“This is a perfect example of the importance of all of us reporting concerns,” said Los Rios police Chief Cheryl Sears. “The rule is simple: If you see something, say something. If you hear something, say something.”
