Placerville police think man burglarized gas station, then dined at McDonald’s
Placerville police arrested a man on suspicion of burglary of a downtown gas station.
Police were called to the 76 station, 88 Main St., about 4:45 a.m. Monday where somebody had broken the front door and also smashed a display case inside the mini-mart. The burglar took items that included cartons of cigarettes and knives.
After reviewing store security video, officers identified the burglar as 21-year-old Joseph Jamison. He was later found at the McDonald’s restaurant on Broadway.
Jamison had property with him from the store, according to a police press release. He was booked into El Dorado County jail on suspicion of burglary and a violation of probation.
