Sacramento coroner identifies man killed in garage on Sunday
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the young man who died in a shooting at a southern Sacramento County home on Sunday night.
The man, Ralph Hernandez Gomez, 22, was inside the garage of a home in the 8000 block of Golden Meadow Drive about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when he was shot. Residents heard shots coming from the home near Power Inn Road and Elsie Avenue and reported the gunfire to authorities.
Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene.
A motive for the shooting has not been released. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department officials have also not released any information on the killer.
A press release said that Gomez was a house guest at the home. His place of residence was not listed on the coroner’s website.
