Bicyclist hit by vehicle on Howe Avenue

A bicyclist was injured Wednesday morning when he was struck by a vehicle on Howe Avenue.

Sacramento police Sgt. Doug Morse said the man in his 20s was crossing Howe Avenue at Swarthmore Drive about 7 a.m. when he was hit by a southbound vehicle.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was reported to have serious injuries.
