The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has released a sketch of a man sought in connection with a residential burglary in Carmichael.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Nov. 7 in the 4600 block of Hixon Circle. About 3:40 a.m., a man entered a residence while the occupants were sleeping. While the man was inside, an adult and child in the house awoke and exchanged words with the intruder, who then left on foot, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
The man is described as in his 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a thin, athletic build. He had short curly light-brown hair, busy eyebrows and acne. He also was reported wearing a half-zip gray pullover sweatshirt, blue jeans, heavy shoes and a cross-over backpack or messenger bag.
Sheriff’s officials said no physical contact occurred between the occupants of the home and the intruder, and nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.

Detectives acknowledged the similarities in the location and hour of the crime to a kidnapping of a child on nearby Adelaide Way on Aug. 31, although there is no physical evidence to establish a connection between the two incidents.
