El Dorado County high school students arrested for alleged sex tape

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two male students from Ponderosa High School because of a sex tape made with a female Ponderosa student, according to a sheriff’s news release.

The Sheriff’s Office’s school resource officer on Wednesday learned of a videotape being circulated that depicted a male student having sex with a female student. The sexual encounter had taken place during the previous weekend and was filmed by a male student, according to the release.

The male students were charged on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography, exploitation of a minor and conspiracy to commit a felony and booked in juvenile hall. The ages of the suspects and the victim were not included in the news release. Messages left with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office were not returned Saturday.
