UPDATE: One person treated for wounds in Del Paso Heights shooting

Sacramento police say one person was treated for wounds that were not life threatening following a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Del Paso Heights area.

Sacramento police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Gigante said officers responded about 5 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the 3800 block of Marysville Boulevard. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a gunshot victim had shown up at an area hospital.

Police said an assault investigation in under way.
