Man who wore Halloween mask sought in north Lake Tahoe robbery

Placer County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who was wearing a Halloween mask when he robbed a north Lake Tahoe restaurant Friday night.

Deputies responded shortly after 9 p.m. to the Char Pit restaurant at 8732 North Lake Blvd. in Kings Beach regarding a robbery. Employees reported that a man entered the restaurant through an unlocked rear door after hours, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Sheriff’s officials said the man was wearing a “Scream” Halloween-type mask during the robbery.
