Rocklin restaurant robbed at gunpoint by man with white mask
Rocklin police are searching for a man who robbed a restaurant at gunpoint Friday night and forced its workers into a freezer before fleeing.
Police say the incident occurred about 9:47 p.m. at the eatery in the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard. Employees told police that after the restaurant had closed the gunman confronted them when one worker opened a door and the suspect forced his way in with a pistol.
“The suspect then threatened the victims with the handgun and forced them to give him money,” Rocklin police said in a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page. “The suspect then forced the employees into a freezer and fled the business by unknown means.”
Police described the robber as a Hispanic man, 5-feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He had a white mask and was wearing a white sweatshirt, blue gloves and was armed with a black pistol.
Police ask anyone with information to call the department at 916-625-5400.
