Crossing arm guard knocked over in Folsom, closing Iron Point Road
A crash downed a crossing arm guarding the light rail tracks Tuesday morning in Folsom.
After a vehicle slammed into crossing guard arm apparatus, knocking over at least one pole, crews worked to make repairs at Iron Point Road and Folsom Boulevard.
Commute traffic in both directions on Folsom Boulevard was not affected by the 7 a.m. crash. However, police blocked Iron Point Road in both directions and traffic is expected to remain detoured until at least 9 a.m.
Light rail was interrupted for a time, but trains appear to be slowly passing by the intersection.
