A burglary suspect who was involved in a crash while fleeing Folsom police Monday was booked into Sacramento County Jail.
Steven Russell Carson, 25, of Modesto was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, evading police and auto theft, according to a Folsom Police Department news release. His bail has been set at $220,000.
Police received a call shortly after 8 a.m. from a business owner reporting a break-in. Officers later learned that a burglar had opened a hole in a wall separating a hair salon from a skateboard shop in the 300 block of East Bidwell Street.
When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect had just left in a car. They saw the car and tried to stop it, but the driver sped away.
