Rocklin police seek pair accused of holding apartment occupant at gunpoint

Rocklin police seek two people who entered an apartment and held the occupant at gunpoint early Wednesday morning, then left without taking anything.

Officers responded at 6:12 a.m. to a report of a robbery in the 5400 block of South Grove Street. They contacted the victim, who said he was at his friend’s apartment when two people, a teenage boy and a man thought to be in his early 20s, knocked on the door. The victim answered the door and recognized the teenager, who he knew only by the youth’s first name, Dre, according to a Police Department news release.

When the victim allowed the two inside the residence, the man pointed a handgun at him and told him to sit down. The man then looked around the residence before leaving. The two did not take anything, and it is now known what they were looking for, police said.

The teenager was described black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, with short curly black hair. The adult was described black, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with curly black hair and a goatee.

The weapon was described as a black semiautomatic handgun.
