Roseville police nab robbery suspect hiding in bushes

A Roseville police officer ended a search for a robbery suspect Sunday night when the officer found a man hiding in some bushes.

The hour-long search began about 6:50 p.m. when Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies asked for assistance after they followed a robbery suspect into Placer County. The suspect’s vehicle came to a stop when it crashed into the wall of a Roseville house in the 1000 block of Haman Way near Foothills and Junction boulevards.

Nobody was home inside the house. The hunt began for the suspect in the neighborhood by officers from Sacramento and Placer counties, the California Highway Patrol and Roseville police. A law enforcement helicopter crew also searched from overhead.

An hour into the search, the Roseville officer found the unidentified suspect hiding nearby in landscaping on Micro Court. He was taken into custody and turned over to Sacramento County deputies.
