A funeral procession is scheduled Friday for Calaveras County Sheriff Gary Kuntz, who died last week of a heart attack.
Kuntz, 63, was pronounced dead around 9:20 p.m. Thursday. A post on Facebook from the sheriff’s family noted that he died at home.
The funeral procession will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at San Andreas Airport and will head southeast along Highway 49 into Angels Camp.
The procession then will go through Vallecito and into Murphys. A noon celebration of life open to the public will be at the Ironstone Vineyards amphitheater in Murphys.
