Mountain lion spotted in Roseville
A mountain lion has been spotted in an area along Interstate 80 in Roseville.
Roseville police said that several people have reported seeing a mountain lion in the vicinity of Miner’s Ravine, an urbanized area with creeks and trails, and the Olympus Pointe neighborhood.
Residents are advised to follow state Department of Fish and Wildlife tips to not run from a mountain lion and don’t turn your back on the animal. Instead, make eye contact with the mountain lion and stand tall.
Also, arm-waving and rock-throwing can convince a mountain lion to move on. If attacked, fight back, experts say.
