Sacramento man dies in crash at sharp curve in Wilton
A Sacramento man died in a rollover crash in Wilton on Tuesday afternoon.
Phillip T. Eldridge, 29, was driving east at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday on Tavernor Road approaching Dillard Road at a speed of more than 55 mph just before a sharp left curve, according to a California Highway Patrol news release.
Eldridge’s vehicle drove off the roadway at the curve and through a metal guardrail. The vehicle went airborne before flipping several times.
His vehicle ended up crossing Dillard Road. Eldridge was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m., according to the Sacramento County coroner’s website.
