The third person hit and killed by a light-rail train in Rancho Cordova in less than a month has been identified Tuesday by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
He is listed on the coroner’s website as Jason Mudrock, 32, of Sacramento.
The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. Monday at Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road. RT officials said Mudrock was walking north on Routier Road and stepped in front of the train.
It is the third instance involving people hit by trains in Rancho Cordova in recent weeks. The three deaths occurred within 2 miles of each other.

In mid-November, a 15-year-old girl was struck when crossing the tracks at a pedestrian passage, and a week later a man was killed when he reportedly lay down on the tracks in front of a train, transit officials said.
