Normal operations at Yosemite Hall resumed about 3:30 p.m., according to campus police.
The package was found near the north side of the building, which includes some athletics offices, space for ROTC and other faculty.
Police reported the incident about 1:30 p.m. and asked people to avoid the area. The north side of Yosemite Hall was temporarily closed.
All other campus facilities remained open for normal operation during the investigation, according to police.
