A Grant Union High School student was taken to juvenile hall after a campus safety officer allegedly found him in possession of a handgun.
School site safety team officers noticed some students walking back onto campus when they should have been in class about 8:30 a.m. Monday. One teen was found to have a weapon in his backpack.
He was taken to Sacramento County juvenile hall and the weapon was confiscated. The school staff also informed the parents of each student involved in the incident.
