A Folsom police officer is planning to run the California International Marathon in full uniform.
Instead of a light shirt, shorts and running shoes, Officer Eric Baade will run the 26.2-mile course from Folsom Dam to the Capitol on Dec. 6 wearing a police uniform, body armor, a duty belt and boots.
Baade is trying to raise awareness about officers who have been killed in the line of duty. He is partnering with Norcal COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) and the Folsom Police Motor Officers Association.
Both groups will have a booth at the CIM finish line to welcome the officer.
