The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has released sketches of two men involved in a home-invasion robbery and killing in Walnut Grove last month.
The department also released a photo of a sport-utility vehicle that may have been used by three men involved in the shooting that left Thomas Rehberg, 40, mortally wounded.
Three people, including Rehberg, were inside a home in the 14200 block of River Road in Walnut Grove at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 22 when two men knocked on the door. When the door was opened, the intruders pushed their way in and tied up the residents.
During the robbery, Rehberg was shot. He died at the scene.

One sketch shows a black man in his early 50s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short or no hair, and with sideburns and a goatee. The other sketch shows a black man in his mid-30s to early 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, stocky, dark hair, mustache and a tattoo on his forearm.
The third man was described as young with dark brown hair.
