Coroner names man who died after Sunday fight in Sacramento

A Sacramento man died after a fight with a relative Sunday afternoon, according to police.

Bradford S. Adams, 40, of Sacramento was pronounced dead at the hospital after being transported by ambulance about 3:30 p.m. Sunday from the 4800 block of 71st Street in the Colonial Heights neighborhood.

A 37-year-old member of Adams’ family was detained at the scene by officers, Sacramento police said. The family member was not identified by police but is believed to have argued with Adams and that the harsh words escalated into a fight.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene.

The particulars of the fight will be submitted to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office to determine if any charges will be filed. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is still determining cause of death.
