Rancho Cordova man identified as Sacramento crash victim
A Rancho Cordova man died at the scene of a crash in Sacramento over the weekend.
Clinton Gregory Tovar, 28, was driving on the transition road from southbound Interstate 5 to eastbound Interstate 80 about 4:50 a.m. Saturday. When he entered the onramp to I-80, Tovar lost control and his car hit a traffic sign, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car then went down an embankment, where it struck a tree on the driver’s side door. Tovar, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries, according to the CHP.
