Q: Has anyone been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man following a dispute at a restaurant on Broadway in Sacramento in May 2014?
A: Sacramento police spokeswoman Officer Traci Trapani said John Yang, 20, was arrested June 14, 2014, accused of stabbing to death 31-year-old Yong Lor of Olivehurst.
Trapani said Yang was arrested following a traffic stop near the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Sims Road. He is charged with murder and is being held in Sacramento County Jail without bail. According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Yang is scheduled for a trial readiness conference on Jan. 8, with a trial set for Jan. 14.

The stabbing was reported about 9 p.m. May 27, 2014, at the corner of 19th Street and Broadway. According to a story in The Sacramento Bee, Lor and family members were inside the Pho Bac Hoa Viet restaurant when several men entered and sat down. Police said an argument began between Lor and the men.
Lor and his family decided to leave the restaurant. Once they were outside, the other group also left the restaurant and reportedly assaulted Lor. The group of men fled before police arrived.
Lor was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m.
