The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found Saturday in a vehicle in the Berry Creek area northeast of Oroville.
An Oroville resident called the Sheriff’s Office about 10:30 a.m. Saturday to report that relatives who had been expected had not arrived. While deputies were investigating the circumstances surrounding the report, they discovered a a vehicle with two deceased adults on Galen Ridge Road about 2 p.m., according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. Because of the sensitive nature of the case, sheriff’s officials said they are not releasing details at this time.
They ask anyone who is aware of any suspicious or unusual activity on Galen Ridge Road in Berry Creek to call the Butte County Sheriff’s Office at (530) 538-7321. Callers reporting information can remain anonymous.
