An El Dorado County home was ransacked by at least two robbers who took money and marijuana.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home in the 4500 block of Meadow Circle in the town of Rescue about 7 a.m. Friday by a woman who said somebody had been stabbed.
Deputies found a ransacked house and marijuana in nearly every room. Deputies believe the house was being used to commercially grow, dry, process and package marijuana.
The residents said they were asleep when somebody kicked in the back door. At least two intruders, one with a shotgun, ordered the three residents to lie face down on the floor.
