A Sacramento man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly making a video showing him pointing a handgun at a police vehicle, authorities said.
The video, posted to Instagram, was discovered by Sacramento police on Saturday. The clip shows a man pointing a handgun at a police vehicle occupied by a department employee, according to a police news release. During the video, someone is heard “using derogatory language while speaking about police,” according to the release.
Investigators eventually determined that Marco Romero, 20, was allegedly responsible for producing the video. Police searched his home and found firearms, including the handgun believed to have been used. The suspect was arrested and booked on a single felony charge of having a concealed, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
Romero is also allegedly a gang member, police said. He remains at the Sacramento County Main Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, with an arraignment scheduled for Tuesday.
