Pollock Pines man dies when car hits tree along Highway 50
A man was killed when his car left Highway 50 and struck a tree Friday morning in El Dorado County.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Logan Terpening, 28, of Pollock Pines, was traveling westbound on Highway 50 approaching Eight Mile Road in Camino about 5:15 a.m. Friday when his car went off the right shoulder of the road.
The car then struck a tree and Terpening suffered fatal injuries.
The CHP said that it was snowing and the roadway was wet at the time of the crash.
