North Highlands stabbing victim identified
A man stabbed to death on Dec. 23 in North Highlands was Jason Westmoreland, 39, of Rancho Cordova, according to the Sacramento County Coroner.
County Sheriff detectives are investigating the apparent homicide, which took place at the corner of Karen Lane and Canary Drive, just off Watt Ave. Westmoreland was found by a friend and rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
