A 64-year-old woman was found stabbed in a south Sacramento County home early Tuesday afternoon in what sheriff’s officials say may be a case of domestic violence.
Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies responded about 12:20 p.m. to a residence in the 8300 block of Stoneybeck Circle, east of Power Inn Road and north of Calvine Road. They found the woman inside the home, suffering from life-threatening stab wounds, said Deputy Tony Turnbull, sheriff’s spokesman. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was reported in stable condition late Tuesday afternoon, Turnbull said.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the stabbing may be the result of a domestic situation, he said.
“We don’t believe it was random,” Turnbull said.
