According to stories in The Sacramento Bee, Ozee, a Citrus Heights resident, was found with a gunshot wound in front of a house in the 5600 block of Skyridge Drive in Orangevale. Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies were called to the location after area residents reported hearing gunshots. Ozee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Contreras was arrested the following day. Sheriff’s officials said at the time that the relationship between Ozee and Contreras was unclear, but they did not believe the shooting was a random act.
