Elk Grove police report that a man sought in connection with a robbery in which a teenager was assaulted with a baseball bat turned himself in Thursday evening at the Sacramento County jail.
Elk Grove police announced Thursday that detectives have identified 18-year-old Jourdan Ware as one of three people who allegedly robbed two brothers, ages 17 and 18, of two hoverboards, electric two-wheeled scooters. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
The robbery occurred about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3, when the brothers met three individuals near a park in the 6300 block of Castro Verde Way intending to sell one of the hoverboards. After showing the boards to the three individuals, one of the brothers was hit in the head with a baseball bat, according to a Police Department news release. The hoverboards were grabbed from the trunk of the victims’ vehicle and the three individuals ran from the scene.
The victim was hospitalized overnight for treatment of his injuries and released the following day, police said.

Police said a felony warrant was issued for Ware’s arrest for his alleged involvement in a felony assault and two counts of forcible robbery.
The two other people involved are being sought, police said.
