Firearms reported stolen in Nevada County home invasion robbery

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred early Wednesday afternoon in the Nevada City area.

Approximately five people entered a home in the 20000 block of Purdon Road between noon and 12:30 p.m., tied up the occupants and ransacked the residence, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The robbers stole multiple items, including two firearms, sheriff’s officials said.

The intruders were described as:

▪ A white female, about 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and heavy set.

▪ Two white males, approximately 18 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches, to 6 feet tall, and weighing 150 to 160 pounds

▪ A white male in his mid-20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

▪ A white male in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

They reportedly were driving a newer model silver or gold Mercedes and a black Honda or Toyota.
