Ezekiel Delgado, 18, has been convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in an incident that occurred April 10, 2014, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said.
In that incident, Delgado was seeking to buy marijuana from Deshawne Cannon. When Cannon arrived at the Northwood Apartments on Howe Avenue, accompanied by Gina Elarms, Delgado approached his vehicle and shot Cannon multiple times in the back. He then also shot Elarms multiple times in the back because he feared she would identify him. Both victims died of gunshot wounds, the District Attorney’s Office said.
Delgado faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole. Sentencing is set for February.
