A woman is believed to have been stabbed to death by her husband outside her family’s Folsom home early Monday, authorities said.
Folsom police received a call about 4:30 a.m. Monday of an ongoing domestic dispute in the 100 block of Gallagher Court. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old woman in the front yard of a home with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she later died.
Shortly after the incident, police found the woman’s husband, Justin Anthony Jesus, in the backyard of a neighbor’s home. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and domestic violence.
Jesus, 28, of Orangevale is being booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Sgt. Sharon Blackburn, a Folsom Police Department spokeswoman, said Jesus is suspected of having used a 3-inch pocket knife to inflict the wounds.
“The injuries were all over. She had defensive wounds. There was a struggle,” Blackburn said. “Realistically, it doesn’t take a lot if you hit the right spots.”
The victim’s name has not been released pending formal identification by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
A man who answered the door at the victim’s home Monday declined comment.
Neighbors said they were shocked to hear about the gruesome attack. Paul Serrano, 45, lives two doors down. He described the block as “family-friendly.”
“The whole street was shut down by police,” Serrano said.
According to Blackburn, nobody else was involved in the altercation.
