A three-car collision that included a Sutter County Sheriff’s Office cruiser occurred Thursday morning on the outskirts of Yuba City.
Driver Aramando W. Franco-Caravantes, 33, of Sacramento was northbound on Highway 99 about 5:30 a.m. Thursday when he failed to stop in time at the red light at Bogue Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He continued into the intersection where his Oldsmobile hit a Toyota traveling west on Bogue Road being driven by a Yuba City man – and then crashed into a Sutter County sheriff’s deputy’s Ford Crown Victoria that was going east on Bogue Road.
The Yuba City man was taken by ambulance to a hospital with major injuries.
