Update: Woman missing from Sacramento board-and-care home found safe

Sacramento police report that an 84-year-old woman who walked away from from a downtown board-and-care home Tuesday has been found and is safe.

Katie Long had last been seen about noon Tuesday, when she left the residence in the 2700 block of G Street. She had walked away in the past and was known to frequent the area of Ninth and K streets, according to a Police Department news release.

Police said Long was considered at risk because of a medical condition.
