A 22-year-old woman is reported in critical condition after she was allegedly attacked by a teenage girl Monday afternoon in a Lodi park.
Lodi police dispatchers received a call at 3:08 p.m. reporting an assault at Beckman Park at 1426 W. Century Blvd. When officers arrived, they found the woman with head injuries. Further investigation revealed that a 17-year-year old girl had struck the woman several times in the head with a baseball bat, according to a Police Department news release.

The 17-year-old, who has not been identified because she is a juvenile, was booked into Peterson Juvenile Hall on suspicion of attempted murder.
