Man nabbed as suspect in South Land Park, Oak Park and Land Park purse snatchings

Sacramento police arrested a man suspected of three purse snatchings on Thursday.

Police began a fast-moving search for a suspect in the thefts, which occurred over a two-hour period Thursday evening. The crimes were reported in Oak Park in the 4400 block of 7th Avenue; in South Land Park in the 5900 block of 14th Street; and in Land Park in the 2600 block of 16th Street.

Police had a description of the suspect and his vehicle, and their investigation led them to Ronnie Earl Jackson, 53. He was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Auburn Boulevard.

Jackson was booked into Sacramento County jail on three counts of suspicion of robbery and one count of violation of parole.
