Christmas night shooting in Sacramento being investigated as homicide

Sacramento Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help for information about a Christmas night shooting that is being investigated as a homicide.

Police officials provided these details in a news release:

At 10:07 p.m. Dec. 25, police responded to the area of Sherman and Miller ways in the Oak Park area regarding a subject who had been shot. Officers found an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound. The Sacramento Fire Department brought the victim to an area hospital, where he remained in critical condition.

Detectives began an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The victim remained in the hospital and died Friday. No arrests have been made.
